Taking the plunge

After three years of blogging here I finally have decided to give in and buy a proper domain name for this blog. Welcome to the new http://www.bruleeblog.com! Your old bookmarks and favourites will still work, but you may want to update them just in case.

Along with the new domain name, I also decided to change up the design of the site with a new theme. It’s got a lot of different colours from the old site. What do you think?

I know I haven’t been blogging too much lately (lack of time, unfortunately), but I do have a few surprises coming up for you all in the very near future. Stay tuned!

  1. congratulations on the new blog Ms. Brulee :-D. i’m liking the new design. ive been thinking of this as well, but still contemplating. kids take up a lot of time and i don’t want get into something i won’t be able to keep up with and waste the money. have a lovely weekend.

  2. Wow! Finally! LOVE your new blog design. I am inspired to change my black to something more snazzy like yours. I love the colour combination. Looking forward to the next step and reading more :=) All the best,

    • Jenn, just go in the themes section under appearance and you can preview your blog in a bunch of different pre-made themes. It moved everything over for me except for my widgets, which I just had to put back in from the “unused” box (all the widgets were saved but were just stripped out of my old design).

      • I looked into the themes and liked your design best. You have great taste! LOL 🙂 I settled with the Twenty ten theme, as I liked the layout best and chose the grey background, but perhaps will play around with the background colours over time. The black background was a little hard to read for me, even though it was artistic. Thanks for your help. All the best!

I can’t see the changes on my iPad. I’ll have to check it out on my laptop. The new wordpresse iPad swipe setup leaves a lot of details out.

  4. I’m biased because I’m a designer so I’m loving the theme you chose, and ha, what a small world, I know the guy who did it, too. 🙂

As for your domain, you can always create an email forwarder and be all official-like with any food or blog related stuff.
